When I first started my carnival poster, I wanted to create something that stood out. I decided to add a big text in the first picture because I wanted that to be my piece's focal point. I decided to add two different fonts to make my piece dynamic. I then added the two images of the kids and the clown to give it more visual variety. I created a layer mask and took a soft brush to smoothly go around the edges, and used my adjustment tool for both images to properly place them in the right space. I then decided to go with the soft yellow background because I didn't want the experience to distract the poster's main points.
After thinking about my piece for several hours, I decided to change my idea. I changed my idea on my poster because I wanted the font that I was using to be bolder and add diversity to my piece. I went with the "Circus" font because I loved how the font curved and allowed me to mess around with different photos. When messing around with the additional images, I chose the elephant to be my centerpiece because it made my poster more unique. I created a face mask and added another picture of the beach ball under the elephant and then went to my adjustments tool and added an outer glow to make it pop more. Using my rotation tool, I rotated the text so that it would correctly arch over the elephant.
For my final product of using different fonts, I increased the size so that it would stand out more. I added the additional fire images to add more variety and used my outer glow tool to make it stand out more. I liked this piece by incorporating different text and fonts when creating my poster that would stand out to the viewers. I decided not to add any more images because I did not want my image to look too crowded and take away from the piece's overall meaning.
